Lynette got into this profession thru personal experience. She had her first treatment in 1992. It was profound. She had to know more about it which set her on a path of discovery. She began TCM school in San Francisco in 1996. As part of her training, she went to the People’s Republic of China, where she was able to observe both in-patient and out-patient care. It felt like things were in their proper place. Acupuncture and herbs first. Western intervention if needed. Before returning home, she travelled in Mongolia, Tibet, Thailand and Viet Nam. Feel free to ask her about it.
For the next 11 years, Lynette had a private practice north of San Francisco in Marin County. She lived briefly in the San Antonio area of Texas before moving to Boise in 2013. A year later she opened Acupuncture for Everyone. In the community clinic she now sees a wider range of ailments and people (aged 2 days to 94 years old from all walks of life) which makes her workdays so much more rewarding! In her 20 years as a practitioner of TCM she has seen amazing things. Her belief in the power of this medicine and indeed in the power of the human body, mind and spirit to heal is fiercely strong. She will go the extra mile with you, if you’re ready for change and true healing.
Lynette practices: acupuncture, Chinese herbology, NAET (an allergy elimination technique), Emotional Freedom Technique (aka EFT and Tapping), Face Reading, tui na, holistic & lifestyle coaching. Read more about these here.
Minus a brief hiatus in Southern California, Davida has practiced in Boise’s North-End since 2010. Her informative, personable, and holistic approach to Traditional Oriental Medicine has earned her a place in the hearts of her patients.
She has treated everything from insomnia to chronic pain to the negative effects of stress to fertility issues.
Davida first got interested in acupuncture as a child while watching her mother get treatment. During college, she spent a year traveling throughout Asia and returned to synthesize her experiences into a thesis on access to traditional medicine around the globe. She went straight into school to study Traditional Oriental Medicine upon completing her under graduate degree.
Davida's interest in the theoretical integration between Eastern and Western medicine continued to grow and she wrote her doctoral thesis on this subject. She particularly appreciates how the two paradigms can complement one another to benefit patients.
She has a passion for helping individuals struggling with addiction and the symptoms of withdrawal. She completed clinical fellowships at Cri Help Chemical Dependency Treatment Center providing acupuncture and treatment specific to addiction and post-acute withdrawal symptoms, and the Los Angeles Free Clinic, where she initiated the Acupuncture and Herb Program.
Davida is fluent in Spanish and grateful to offer her services to individuals who feel more comfortable speaking Spanish.
Davida practices: acupuncture, Chinese herbology, and tui na. Read more about these here.
Jessica’s journey to becoming an alternative health practitioner began long before she ever stepped foot into TCM school. She grew up in an alternative medical family. Her father was a Doctor of Chiropractic who also learned and practiced acupuncture. Her uncle was a DOM (Doctor of Oriental Medicine — the designation given in New Mexico). Jessica was cared for and inspired by these influences and is now happy to be carrying on the family lineage.
As someone who has always been athletic, she knows how important it is to take care of your body and stay on top of your health not only to prevent illness, but to thrive and live your optimal life. She’s passionate about Chinese Medicine and its potential to keep you health and at the top of your game by restoring balance on every level creating greater awareness of mind, body, and spirit.
Jessica recently moved to Mountain Home. So please make her welcome to our awesome Treasure Valley. She’s looking forward to all the outdoor glory that is the true gem of The Gem State. When not in clinic you’ll find her hiking with her partner and sweet fur-baby, Sola, biking the greenbelt or some such active endeavor.
Jessica practices: acupuncture, Chinese herbology, tui na, facial cupping and gua sha. Read more about these here.
